I'm a real estate agent, not a data company. Here's exactly what I collect, what I do with it, and how to leave whenever you'd like.
What I collect
When you fill out a contact form or subscribe to The Southeast Digest, I collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and anything you tell me in the message field. My forms are powered by Formspree, which receives the submission, stores it on their servers, and forwards it to my email.
This website uses standard web server logs (via Hostinger) that may record your IP address, browser, and the pages you visit. Those logs are used only to keep the site running and spot abuse.
What I do with it
I use your contact information to reply to you personally about buying, selling, or neighborhood questions. If you subscribe to the Digest, I add you to a list that receives one short letter per month — new listings worth mentioning, neighborhood shifts, and the occasional recipe recommendation.
I do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. Ever. If a lender, inspector, or transaction coordinator needs to reach you during a transaction you've hired me for, I'll introduce you by name — I won't hand off your contact info without asking.
Unsubscribing
Every Southeast Digest email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also reply with “unsubscribe” or email me directly at Marissa.DeBenedet@gmail.com and I'll remove you within 10 business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.
Cookies
This site does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Fair Housing
I follow the federal Fair Housing Act and Michigan's Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act. I do business without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, familial status, disability, age, marital status, height, or weight. Your information in a real estate transaction
When you hire me as your agent, Michigan law and the terms of your Buyer or Seller Service Agreement govern how your information is handled. You'll receive a written Agency Disclosure Statement before any representation begins. My brokerage, Remerica Hometown III, maintains its own privacy practices for transaction records.
